Cresta del Diablo to Soulano: two guided days via Respomuso

Plan the Cresta del Diablo to Soulano with PirineoSur on a two-day outing from La Sarra and Respomuso hut. The route combines climbing, exposed ridge terrain and abseils in a high mountain setting.

Day one approaches the ridge from La Sarra and prepares for the night at Respomuso before the route to Soulano. Day two combines the approach, climbing and return to the valley, so stamina and comfort with exposure matter alongside rock-climbing ability. Describe recent ridges and seconding experience to plan equipment, timings and the overnight stay with the guide.

  • Season: June to October.
  • Duration: two days.
  • Group: one or two people.
  • General level: medium-high.
  • Area: Pyrenees.

Read the full programme and confirm the meeting point, equipment and travel arrangements before booking. Published times and durations are indicative: they help you prepare for the day and should be confirmed for the outing you agree on.

Equipment and services

The services provide for a high mountain guide, technical equipment such as harness and helmet, shared safety equipment and assistance insurance. Check the clothing, footwear, food and water list, and request any borrowed equipment. Your accommodation and meal expenses and the guide’s hut accommodation are excluded.
