If you are looking for an exciting guided canyoning activity for families, the canyons of Gorgol, Os Lucas, Hospital de Siresa, and Estrechos de Carruaca are ideal options to enjoy a safe and fun adventure. These canyons, located in the Aragonese Pyrenees, offer accessible and varied routes, perfect for family groups seeking a day in nature.
The Gorgol Canyon, located in the Tena Valley, is an ideal canyon for families with older children. This route includes jumps, slides, and moderate abseils, all under the supervision of an expert guide who ensures safety at every stage. Additionally, the guides provide all the necessary equipment and adapt the route according to the group's experience, making this a safe and enjoyable adventure.
On the other hand, Os Lucas Canyon, also suitable for families, is an option that offers natural slides and small waterfalls in a charming setting. This canyon, located in the Tena Valley, is perfect for those looking for a fun descent in crystal-clear waters, ideal for young people to live their first canyoning experience.
For families with children aged 5–6. This introductory canyoning day requires a low level of physical effort and no previous experience. Children should be able to swim, or at least feel comfortable in the water.
The day runs from 10:00 to 16:00, with small abseils, jumps and natural slides in clear water. The pace is adapted to the youngest participants, with several stops to eat, swim and enjoy the canyon as a family, accompanied by a guide.
Meet at 10:00 at the PirineoSur office, Calle Antonio Beltrán 1, ground floor, Jaca, Huesca. If you need a different meeting point, ask when booking whether this is possible.
After collecting the equipment, we drive in participants’ own vehicles to the canyon access point. There we put on wetsuits, helmets and harnesses, then walk to the canyon entrance. Your guide explains the safety procedures and movement techniques before the descent. The activity ends when we return to the vehicles.
Our local guides know the terrain and current conditions. Patience, attentive listening and enthusiasm for the mountains are central to the way we work. Small groups allow personal guidance and the chance to meet people who share your interests.
We teach current techniques and offer advice during and after the activity on equipment, suitable outings, further courses and related events. In your free time, enjoy Jaca’s shops, sightseeing and tapas.
Departures are guaranteed every day in summer. If bad weather prevents us from going into the mountains, that day is not charged.
