Learn cross-country skiing in Somport or improve your technique with a private lesson tailored to your experience. Start with classic Nordic skiing or work on skate skiing, also known as skating. We choose the content around your ability and goals, whether you want to move with more confidence, improve your glide or coordinate your movements on the Pyrenean trails.
In classic cross-country skiing, your skis move parallel, usually in prepared tracks. Work on balance, propulsion and the coordination of your arms and legs so that each stride develops into a glide. Lessons can introduce the foundations of Nordic skiing or help experienced skiers move more efficiently.
Skate skiing uses a sideways push with the skis in a V on a trail prepared for this technique. A lesson can focus on transferring your weight from one ski to the other, balancing on a single ski and coordinating your poles. Tell us about any classic or skating experience when enquiring. The session focuses on your chosen technique and goals, helping you apply what you learn on future outings.
Choose a one- or two-hour private lesson for one, two, three or four people. A two-hour option is also available for a pre-formed private group of five to ten participants. Similar experience and learning goals help you make the most of a shared lesson, so describe each participant’s ability when enquiring.
For continued practice, the individual five-hour lesson package lets you arrange several sessions. It is valid for two seasons. Agree how to divide the hours and arrange the times when booking, subject to availability.
Lessons take place in Somport, around the Somport pass and the Aragón valley. Candanchú can be considered as an alternative only when its cross-country circuit is operating. Confirm the venue, time and technique before your lesson, as arrangements depend on trail opening, snow and availability.
For one to four people, the quoted rate is the total price for the lesson, not a price per participant. The two-hour lesson for a private group of five to ten costs €32 per person. Cross-country equipment and the trail pass are not included. Check the available price options and arrange equipment specifically for classic or skate skiing, according to your chosen technique.
For one to four people, the main amount is the total lesson price, including VAT:
For example, two people taking a one-hour lesson pay €65 in total, or €32.50 per person when shared equally. For a private group of six taking a two-hour lesson, the total is €192 (6 × €32).
Tell us your preferred dates, group size, experience and whether you would like classic or skate skiing. If you are unsure which to choose, describe what you want to learn. Confirm the duration, rate, circuit and meeting point before travelling.
