You must be comfortable seconding routes graded IV+ to V+. These guided climbs can also provide supervised practice after a course, helping you build experience through a structured progression.

What you need to bring

• Comfortable sports clothing.
• Waterproof jacket, warm hat and gloves.
• 30 litre backpack.
• Sun protection.
• Food for the day and 1.5 litres of water.

Meet at the PirineoSur office, Calle Antonio Beltrán 1, Jaca, Huesca. Ask when booking if an alternative meeting point is possible. After an equipment check, drive to the start. Logistics depend on the chosen climb.

Example, day 1: Walk from La Sarra car park to Respomuso hut in approximately 2–2.5 hours. Overnight in the staffed hut, with dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Leave around 05:00 for the 2–2.5-hour approach to Espolón Elegante, reaching the climb around first light. Climb the route to Balaïtous, approximately 4 hours, then abseil and walk back to Respomuso hut, approximately 3 hours 30 minutes for the descent and return to the hut. Continue to La Sarra, arriving around 19:00.
