Follow a high mountain ridge valued by climbers who enjoy linking three-thousand-metre summits. The traverse requires rope work and includes exposed sections that give the route its character.
The two-day programme starts with the approach to Portillon hut. On the second day, you complete the ridge and descend to the valley. Trips are offered from May to October for one or two people per high mountain guide.
You should be comfortable following grade III–IV terrain. Discuss your previous experience with PirineoSur before booking, and read the programme, equipment requirements and included services to prepare for the traverse.
You must be comfortable seconding routes graded III to IV. These guided climbs can also provide supervised practice after a course, helping you build experience through a structured progression.
Day 1: Walk to Portillon hut.
