Collado de Añisclo 2.454m, Gavarnie Waterfall,
This physically demanding three-day circular trek goes around Monte Perdido through Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. Every day involves more than 1,000 m of ascent and descent, so regular mountain-walking experience and good fitness are essential.
Although the route has no major climbing difficulties, some sections cross rocky, poorly defined terrain. You should already be comfortable on this type of ground. The proposed stages may be modified by the guide according to the group’s level, fatigue, timing and weather. Technical rock-climbing skills are not required.
The main demands are accumulated ascent and descent, especially on the way down, and fatigue over successive days. Wind and low temperatures may add to the challenge. Read the full programme and contact us if you are unsure about your level.
Prepare with endurance exercise and mountain walks using a loaded backpack, the boots and the equipment you will take on the trip. Break in new boots beforehand. Tell us before the activity about any heart condition or other relevant health issue so that the guide can take it into account.

Day 2: Pineta hut – Puerto Nuevo – Hourquette d’Alans – Gavarnie.
